2024 was a challenging year for us as we mourned the loss of the original owner of Kauai Patches, who was known as a teacher here on Kauai, a sailor, and a pilot. His passion and connection to the island inspired so through his iconic designs. After much healing time, his daughter made the generous decision to pass the torch to me, entrusting me with the honor of continuing his legacy.

To pay tribute to his remarkable work, we will proudly refer to his original designs as “The Iconic Patches.” These timeless pieces remain a celebration of Kauai’s vibrant culture and natural beauty. As we move forward, we’re excited to expand the collection and keep this tradition alive for our island and beyond.
